| Congratulations to Deanna Brown and Eagle's Thundertoby FAHR #280 On Friday, November 25th, 2011 Deanna Brown and Eagles Thunderntoby crossed the finish line at Bell Cow Lake, near Chandler, OK to mark 400 miles of Endurance competition for this team in 2011. "Team Thunder" was crewed by Bill Wicklund and Deanna's boyfriend William Vaughn. This completion earned Thunder the FAHR Nez Perce Horse Award for completing 400 miles of competition in one year. Thunder is the only horse in the world to have earned this award. In addition, in 2011 Thunder earned his second ApHC Bronze Medallion in Distance, ApHC Endurance Riding - 500 Mile Superior Event Award, Hi-point Appaloosa from Ozark Country Endurance Riders (OCER), Fourth Middleweight for the team in OCER, and 8th on the AERC list for the Jim Jones Stallion Award, (hi-mileage stallion in the nation) and 4th place at the ApHC National Championship Endurance Ride. Thunder is only 100 miles from his FAHR Buffalo Horse Award (1000 miles in Endurance competition). This was Deanna's first year of competition. |
